The Horned God: Myth, Faith and Archetype

This lecture will summarize the development of The Horned God as the Paleolithic Antlered Shaman, matrilineal Neolithic Moon God, patriarchal Stag God, medieval folklore God and demonization, Sabbat Sun God of neo-paganism and male Archetype of Wholeness. At each stage of development the religion and culture of the Horned God will be discussed. The last part of the lecture will discuss the reintegration of Horned God archetype into the Human psyche and his place in the Aquarian neo-pagan faith.
